As the world turned to online connection - in myriad ways - one of the adaptations we had to make in the yoga space was teaching to small squares with people practicing in them. Sometimes the camera angle works well and we can see and support a student. However, generally, that has not been our experience. Many students don't have their camera turned on! 

This leaves us wondering how well-aligned our students are in their physical yoga practices. Those of us teaching for DAYA have been doing yoga for decades. We've all been through the stages of development with our yoga practices including the adventure and injury phase!  We don't want you to have mis-adventures or to exacerbate existing imbalances in your bodies. 

We're here with a solution!! 
In Yoga Mechanics & Mindfulness you'll get individualized, focused attention about the mechanics of the physical body and the yoga poses and practices. We will request that you come to these series with your learning caps on! And your videos on, too!  Please set up your camera so our teachers can see you and be more helpful to you. In these series you will learn things that you can bring directly back into your regular yoga practice, whether online with us, at home, or in a studio. 

All of the teachers for this series are 500hr RYT with the Yoga Alliance. They have had vigorous studies including and beyond yoga.  

These sessions are limited in registration.

Special Focus for MAY:
Taking care of the spine in yoga asanas.  We will use breath and the bandhas to build internal core awareness to move the spine safely in asanas and daily life.
