Sanskrit Immersion:
The Sacred language of yoga (level 2)

Sanskrit Immersion Level 2 with Kira Rafuse

About this course:
Continue along your Sanskrit path with this twelve-hour immersion class. This course builds  upon the Sanskrit Fundamentals course, providing greater depth into the history and roots of  Sanskrit and will focus on strengthening student’s pronunciation of Sanskrit through chanting of  the alphabet and consonant-vowel combinations.

Students will explore the history and Vedic roots of OM. We will also journey through the story  of the Gayatri Mantra and learn how to chant it in the traditional Vedic meter. This course will  help students establish their connection and build understanding of the transliteration marks  when reading Sanskrit in an English script.

This course will build upon the Sanskrit Fundamentals course. Course is available to Yoga Alliance  Continuing Education Credits, 12 contact hours. Class recordings will be available to students  who attend the course.
