Adaptive Yoga
for health of body
and mind

Adaptive Yoga Classes
Our medically-sensitive yoga program welcomes students needing yoga adapted to their capacities for strength, balance, flexibility, and stamina. The class is taught in a two-chair class format, and may include thera-bands, yoga blocks, straps, and wooden dowels. Each class ends with a long savasana to allow the student's body to integrate the practices they're learning and to allow the nervous system to restore harmony and homeostasis.

We welcome students with the following health challenges:
  • Parkinson's Disease, multiple sclerosis, scleroderma
  • Osteoporosis, osteo-arthritis, chronic pain, fybromyalgia
  • Joint replacements, amputations, pre-op or post-op conditions in preparation for or recovery from surgery.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
11am - 12:15pm
