The Heart of Resilience: Working with Emotions, Forgiveness, and Compassion
The Heart of Resilience is a 16-hour course for students who have completed the Foundations in Mindfulness class, MBSR or MSC class. This course expands on core mindfulness skills to include additional content and practice from the MBEB training focusing on the science of emotions, building emotional resilience, and exploring the research and practice of forgiveness and compassion practices.
Class Format: This course meets for five, 2-hour sessions and one all-day retreat (6 hours). Each session includes didactic learning and discussion, experiential practice building on the core skills of mindfulness and includes practices in mindful forgiveness and compassion for self and others. Guided MP3 recordings are provided to support practice between sessions along with a workbook and online resources.
