Nicole has been practicing yoga ever since her first class in Woodstock, NY over 8 years ago. She was immediately drawn to the practice due to the deep mind-body connection. Her yoga practice has always been focused on working through and with the body to create more clarity and ease in her mind. Her passion regarding mental health and the power of yoga as a tool for improving one’s mental well-being has led her to pursue a career in teaching yoga and going back to school for clinical psychology.
Nicole completed her 200-hour yoga training with Shakti Yoga in Woodstock, NY, where she explored in depth human anatomy, breathing techniques/pranayama, Ayurveda and the philosophy/history of yoga. She continues to be a student of yoga, as she explores human movement and applies her current studies in clinical psychology to the practice.
As a teacher, Nicole strives to assist her students in feeling empowered by their body, and thus feeling stronger in their mind. She typically teaches Hatha yoga, incorporating mindfulness, curiosity, and fun! She believes that yoga is for everybody, regardless of physical and/or mental capabilities, and is happy to be teaching at a studio that allows yoga to be more accessible to marginalized communities.
