Blair Bobier is an attorney, activist and author. As a former public defender, he is drawn to DAYA for the organization’s efforts to bring Yoga to jails and prisons.
Blair's perspective on the indwelling capacity in all humans and our need for mutuality, proper resources, and culturally competent practices refreshes one's faith in the human spirit. He is an advocate for our current systems of care and criminology to consider vital updates on behalf of improving the systems for all members of society.
Blair serves on the Benton County Planning Commission and is nationally recognized for his work on election reform. He is the founder of the Oregon Green Party.
His writing has appeared in newspapers across the country including The Oregonian, Los Angeles Times, USA Today and San Jose Mercury News.
He lives with his family in the foothills of the Coast Range where he also plants trees and tends several gardens.
