Picture
From David Thormahlen, Master Luthier:
"I have always admired the beautiful old growth red cedars along the Breitenbush river that sadly burned in the fire. I decided to make a special Breitenbush guitar using red cedar for the soundboard and some local Black Walnut for the back and sides. I'm donating this to help raise money for rebuilding the Sanctuary.

This guitar has the Breitenbush logo inlaid into the headstock with abalone, mother of pearl, and malachite. Crafting this unique instrument was truly a labor of love. It’s a beautiful guitar with a wonderfully clear sound and an astonishing bass."

The retail value of this guitar is $5,000. Each raffle ticket directly supports the continued rebuilding of the Breitenbush Sanctuary and Ellis Island Meditation Gazebo.

Memorial Bricks for Sanctuary & Ellis Island

Memorial Brick donations can either be in your name, or as a Memorial Donation, in the name of a loved one whom you wish to memorialize or to remember when you sit in meditation.

For those of you who have visited Breitenbush Fire House, you have seen the bricks surrounding the Fire House with the names of the many donors who supported the BFD, Breitenbush Fire Department, to build that structure (which survived the wildfires of 2020 and was instrumental in fighting off the fires to the extent that was possible).
In this same spirit, your donation for a Memorial Brick, either in your own name or for a loved one, will go toward the creation of the Sanctuary and the meditation gazebo, Ellis Island.
