Susan Bass, AP, AYT, C-IAYT is a NAMA Registered Ayurvedic Practitioner and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist as well an IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist. Founder of the Sarasvati Institute of Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy and The Art of Digestion, Susan specializes in supporting digestion and detoxification using Ayurvedic and Yogic tools. Ayurveda and Yoga are time tested sciences that help us to create balance internally through a deep understanding and appreciation of nature. We are all a part of nature and it is our recognition and understanding of our place in the natural world that helps us to regain balance and harmony.
After completing her undergraduate study in Ayurveda and Ayurvedic Yoga at Kripalu School of Ayurveda and The Ayurvedic Institute she completed a Master’s program in Ayurvedic Nutrition & Digestive Health from The Institute of Digestive Health. She has been teaching Ayurveda for 10 years and has taught classes on the Ayurvedic approach to health, digestion and nutrition at The Institute of Digestive Health, Clark College, The Institute of Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy, University of Portland School of Nursing and OHSU Medical School.
