What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback where brainwave activity is recorded using an electroencephalograph by placing sensors on the scalp. The physiological activity is translated into auditory and/or visual feedback through computer software to assist an individual with altering their brainwave activity. Clients are guided through this process by a neurofeedback clinician who identifies the optimal sensor placements on the scalp and configures the software to address the identified deficit areas.
Some of the conditions which have been shown to benefit from neurofeedback include ADHD, anxiety, depression and insomnia.
